Whilst Itunes is a very popular legal music site, if it's not to your tastes for whatever reason then help is at hand.

I suppose the first thing to consider is *why* you are looking for Itunes alternatives.

What is it about Itunes that is making you seek an alternative option?

Kazaa - Search through hundreds of thousands of tracks. Be careful to ensure you select legal tracks as there are a lot out there that are not legit.

Limewire - Pretty much the same idea. Kazaa is arguably the better-known out of these 2 pieces of peer to peer software.

Musicmatch - Listen to tracks on your PC for a reasonable monthly fee or buy them individually ala Itunes if you want to put them on your mp3 player.

Napster - The original online music site offering several different payment options depending on what you want to do with your music. Strongly recommended.

Emusic - Not the greatest range of top-flight artists but still lots and lots of great tracks with a very simple-to-understand subscription model.
